HappyFamily Lies
Ya’ll!! You just HAVE to love this family!! An art teacher, an art major, and two budding artists… who are ALSO—all of them—athletes!! Gotta LOVE that!! For some reason, as an artist, you feel like you can’t be both. But of course we can!! So I loved illustrating an artsy family, doing artsy things, but also showing their “alter ego” so to speak—their other athlete selves! This piece was a blast!!!

| Sophie – age 6, medium length, light brown hair, dark brown eyes. She is a funny, active child who loves to draw & color. She wanted me to let you know that she is very into the monkey bars right now! She also really wants a gray kitten some day, but I am allergic to cats – she is so sad about that! She is very girly, likes her pinks and purples and having her nails painted.Logan – age 11, brown hair, dark brown eyes. He loves to read, play sports and hang out with friends. He is tall & lanky, plays basketball, likes track and he also curls. He, too, is an artistic kid. He is the type of child that wants you to be happy. He loves listening to music.
Camie – mom: long, dark brown hair, dark brown eyes. When I’m not working I am organizing the overflowing schedule! I have an art degree and work in communications. I enjoy crafts, walks & working out, cooking, hanging out with friends & family. Brad – dad, short hair, dark blondish color, blue eyes & glasses, goatee usually, sometimes a beard. Brad is a high school art teacher and also a cross country and track coach. He plays basketball & softball in the off seasons. He likes to kick-back and relax when he’s got a free moment! We are also Green Bay Packers fans and UND Sioux fans! |

| The 3 to 5 prominent colors I would like in my piece include: * | Our family room is mostly earthy tones – greens, browns, reds, etc., but it changes with the seasons & holidays, too. |
| Is there a career path you would like to include in an illustration (ie: I illustrated the husband as a police for the Brown family portrait): | Not in particular, but we do all enjoy art and sports. |
| Tell me what you would like to see your family doing (would you like them just sitting all together posing, as if for a picture? Or would you like them to be doing something together). Please supply the most details here: | I would like us doing something, but what? I am not sure!  |
| Any other details you might be able to give me that would help ensure your enjoyment of the piece: | The kids are really giggly and love to have fun. They actually get along pretty well, considering! When we aren’t busy we like to enjoy our free time and watch shows or movies and have living room slumber parties together. We are a fairly smiley family and are usually always on the go, especially in the summer. |

Oooohhhh, we simply ADORE your work, Katie! Thank you doesn’t seem like an appropriate sentiment, but it will have to do. You captured our fmaily to the T and we are beyond thrilled to hang this in our home and share with our friends & family. Speaking of that – they are all in awe as well.
