| Brad (Daddy) — red hair, hazel eyes. He is very quiet, definitely a thinker. He is laid back and funny. Likes to go running. He is definitely a family man, and he loves playing with the kids. The kids are very active with him, and they like to roughhouse.Sarah (Mommy) — blonde hair, blue eyes. She has a very big heart, and everyone loves to be around her. Instantly makes friends with everyone she meets. She is loud and likes to be silly. The kids love to cuddle with her. She is definitely the caregiver of the family. Loves to take care of the kids and the house.Maggie — 4, strawberry blonde hair, blue eyes. She is very silly and wild. She has tons of energy, and energy to spare. She has no fear, will climb and jump off of anything. She loves to smile. Full of life. She is definitely a Daddy’s girl. Maggie loves Tinkerbell and Mickey & Minnie MouseDesmond — 3, blonde hair, blue eyes. He is our little man. He is very loving, and he loves to snuggle/cuddle. He is very quiet. He loves animals and sea life. He is very laid back. He is generally very happy. Desmond loves Buzz Lightyear and Flynn Rider.Brooke — 1, red hair, blue eyes. She is starting to take after her big sister, but she is still very attached to Mommy. She likes to dance and move her body. She is very curious, and she likes to be held. She likes to feed the doggies. Brooke loves Rapunzel.Vegas (dog) — 9, mini chow/lab mix, all black fur, brown eyes, very fat, very lazy, very loving.Bella (dog) — 8, husky/lab mix, black and white and tan fur, one blue eye, one brown eye, very skinny, very laid back and great with the kids. | We love going to Disney World in Florida together, and for the portrait, we would like us all (dogs included) to be doing something at Disney World together. We don’t want to look posed, but doing something. We like the family portrait in your gallery of the family at Disneyland in California. We would like something similar, but definitely not exactly the same — a special interpretation for our family.We would like you to be creative and use your own interpretation of what our family we will doing in the portrait. That is one of the things we are looking forward to the most with the portrait. We will supply you with some of our favorite things to do at Disney World and would prefer for you to pick and choose what is appropriate. Feel free to pick some things from the list and not others, or add ideas of your own where you feel they fit and are appropriate. We absolutely love anything and everything Disney, so you can’t really go wrong.Here are some of our favorite things to do at Disney. At Disney World, we love meeting with the various characters, such as Mickey, Minnie, Stitch and the princesses. We always do several sitdown meals with the characters and take pictures with them. Our favorite rides are Pirates of the Caribbean, Buzz Lightyear, the Haunted Mansion, and It’s A Small World. As parents, our biggest joy is seeing Disney World through our kids’ eyes. We all have personalized sets of MouseEars hats. The kids always wear Disney character outfits. The kids all get lots of Disney toys when we go. Our favorite Disney World landmarks are Cinderella’s Castle, the Disney World sign at the entrance to the park, and the big ball at Epcot. Brad and Sarah love going to Epcot; our favorite countries are Norway, Germany, Canada and Mexico. | |

Four of them are of us at Disney World. We wanted you to see pictures of us in our favorite place. However, some of them are quite old and the kids look significantly younger. We also included two very recent photos of the kids (as well as the ones Sarah sent you via email) so you know what the kids look like now and how we want them to appear in the portrait.We love our family very much, and we hope you enjoy illustrating us. |

Ummmm… YES!! I DID enjoy illustrating you!!! I fell IN LOVE with your family!! And I so wish I could meet you, Sarah! You sound like such a FUN woman to know and be around!! Your family looks sooo happy togther!! Disney World! I bet your kids will have amazing memories there as a family when they are grown!! I hope this illustration captures your joy and love! I loved working in this color palette! And THANK YOU for giving me some choices and being so open to artistic liberty! I REALLY appreciated that about your entry!! How sweet and awesome of you guys!!
So not only is this family fantastic, one other thing got me really excited about this piece!! The mention of the “Its a Small World” ride at Disney World! It took everything in me to not COMPLETELY focus on that ride and its art in this piece. One of my all time FAVORITE artist worked on the concept, color and art stylization of the ride. She was BRILLIANT and did a gorgeous job on it!! Mary Blair is her name. I could have done a whole piece centered on it!!! So I got really excited about including even the exterior of the ride on this piece (you should know, that the exterior I illustrated is actually shown *inside* the building at Disney World. They show it *outside* in Disney LAND. But its so great, I had to take that liberty). I had to include their other favorites though! Lol! I was happy to!! This wasn’t about MY favorite! 
But it definitely served as inspiration as I planned this piece!! I’m glad you love the ride too, Kane family!!
