Alphabet Anatomy POSTER!

This is the FINAL giveaway from the alphabet series. It is sized much larger than the other files too!! It is poster size: 20×30″ so you can print it BIG!!!

Can you believe that tomorrow is August!! I truly cannot!! Anyone else’s summer going super fast? We have three birthdays (which means parties to plan or attend) and two trips planned for August. So I am sure this month will be no different than the last two! I am trying to revel in my last extra-curricular free summer as much as possible. We’ve decided to wait until next summer to get our older son involved in swimming lessons and T-ball or soccer. We know once it starts (as it has for many of you!!), there’s no going back to simple kid schedules again! I don’t look forward to the run-around. But I DO look forward to the FUN the boys will have being involved in those things!

As many of you know, I had 5 siblings. My mom was super mom when it came to letting us be involved. Living in a small town, we all were involved in everything we could have been. And I don’t know how she kept it straight for each of us simultaneously!! I DO remember how MUCH I loved the sports and the arts and the time with other kids. And am definitely excited for my kids to enjoy all of that! (Not that they should or HAVE to be in *everything!!*). But for now, definitely soaking up as much home/family time as possible!!

Who is keeping up with the Olympics? Don’t you LOVE them!! I love nearly everything about the Olympics. The whole idea of it is just phenomenal. Even if its just for a moment in time, the whole world comes together peacefully. Wow. And the individual events. My husband and I were at the end of our seats watching the mens 100 meter swim relay the other night… cheering loudly, rooting for the home team! That was an exciting race!

You know, I talk about waiting to get my kids involved… yet that was the very thing I remember being ‘upset’ with my parents over back in the day! I took figure skating lessons for about 5 years as a kid. But I didn’t start till age 11!! I had begged and pleaded to start sooner. But no such luck! :) (It was very pricey to be involved.)I remember thinking, “If I could have only started as a small child, maybe I could now be in the Olympics!” :D I also remember thinking that my parents raised me in the wrong location. If they would have only raised me in Montana or Colorado, I could have made the Olympic ski team instead!! It all makes me smile now! I guess you can all see my affinity for sports and competition.

And here I am today, all mommy and all artsy fartsy, with nary a moment to even work out! But for now, I wouldn’t trade it for the WORLD! It’s a very “right” feeling to me, to be doing what I’m doing now! Maybe in a few years, when the kids are older and in school, I can finally run that half marathon (or even the 10 k) I’ve been thinking about. And if I don’t…. well, I have a feeling there will be something else “right” I’ll be doing in its stead!

How about you? Anything you wish you could have done or aspired to in another life? I’m so curious!!

xox!

Thanks for the free download – I love your work!

I always wonder if there’s some obscure sport out there I might be really good at if only I had the chance to try ;)

But I just recently (in the past 5 years) started doing crafty stuff after a lifetime of telling myself I wasn’t artistic, and I love it *so* much. So I feel very luck to have found that.
