I was so excited when I read that I got to illustrate another family in Disneyland!! SO fun!! I thought this was such a sweet family to illustrate! Their little girl Julia is such a doll! What a sweetheart she looks to be! This is one of our following families from Australia. So great to have you along Christine! I have enjoyed you for a long time on this blog! So wonderful to put a face with your name and to see your sweet family!!

Read Christine’s entry:

What are you family Members names, ages, color hair, color eyes, etc.? And, tell me a bit about their personality. My name is Christine. I have medium length dark blonde hair and blue eyes. I like handcrafts like crochet & embroidery. My husband Alois has brown hair (what’s left of it!), beard & moustache and brown eyes. He rarely smiles in photos but smiles on the inside a lot. Our daughter Julia is 5. She has long, very light blonde hair and bright blue eyes. She usually wears her hair in two plaits [pigtails] with bows at the top. She likes to play outside in the sandpit and likes to try new things like new foods & travelling to new places.
The 3 to 5 prominent colors I would like in my piece include: * Colourful with bold tones would be perfect. Blue is my favourite colour. I like natural skin colours. I would love a rainbow in the piece.

Tell me what you would like to see your family doing (would you like them just sitting all together posing, as if for a picture? Or would you like them to be doing something together). Please supply the most details here: We had a great family holiday last year in Disneyland. I would love our family to be riding a roller coaster together, one with train carriages like Disney’s Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
Any other details you might be able to give me that would help ensure your enjoyment of the piece: I am hoping you can capture a sense of holiday fun. This piece would also be a metaphor for the ups and downs of life.

She is so right isn’t she? Life has its ups and downs, no? I love how she was thinking metaphorically with her piece. Christine, thanks for making this such an exciting and colorful piece to create! By the way, I’d love to sit across from you for coffee and listen to your lovely Aussie accent!

Love to you all! Talk to you tomorrow!!
Katie
