I can’t believe how excited I am about this week. I’m not even for sure why. I’m just having so much fun with it! I imagine today and yesterday’s pieces side by side, back to back, or facing each other. Actually, the whole series should work nicely together in this way like a patchwork quilt.

I’ll be heading on a long-weekend trip toward the end of the week (500 miles away), so with preparations for the trip, I won’t have as much time to write this week. I still will, but please forgive me for keeping it a little more brief this week.

In other news, you have to check out a couple blogs! First, there’s another giveaway over at Simply Montessori!!! Go check it out. Sharon is a sweetheart and has a super cute blog you won’t want to miss! And of course, sign up for the giveaway! :)

Second, you’ll have to check back to I’m Feelin Crafty! Remember Louis’s blocks and interview week? Go check out the birthday party she helped with! Hint, its an owl theme. And such CLEVER ideas!! You’ll LOVE it and maybe be inspired yourself!!!

Love you guys!
Katie

so sweet – i was thinking that these would be so sweet to print out and frame, and then give as a gift to new parents. i could see them sitting on each parent’s nightstand …. i just love these :)

    This series is simply adorable.

If you’re still looking for future series ideas, here’s one from left (or right) field – What about a series on the upcoming US presidential election? It’s already the #1 topic of conversation in my house. There are so many different ways you could take it – a political circus with elephants and donkeys (I was going to suggest the candidates could be the circus performers but that might make you reveal too much about your political leanings, and you may not want to do that here); or portraits of the various candidates. I know the primaries won’t even start until your year of illustrations is over; but at the very least maybe you could come back after the conventions and do a two-part series, a portrait of Obama and one of the Republican candidate?
