Noah’s Ark: Two by Two
The animals
The animals
They came in by twosies twosies
This is a verse in a song I learned as a kid. Here are the animals coming to the great boat to board it. You see a male and a female of each animals. Can you imagine the spectacle? Seeing every kind of animal imaginable as Noah ushered them into the boat? Those in his community must have watched and stared in amazement as animals passed by them that they had never seen in all their lives. What a sight it must have been. What seems like a fairytale today, comes from a Book as real as can be. Such a big plan could only have been put into action by an even bigger God. What a mystery it is.
Genesis 6:9-20 is God’s instructions to Noah:
“And of every living thing of all flesh, you shall bring two of every kind into the ark, to keep them alive with you; they shall be male and female. “Of the birds after their kind, and of the animals after their kind, of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of every kind will come to you to keep them alive.
This week is a little different than past weeks, but I hope you will enjoy this little excursion from the norm. I know I am. Thanks for coming along with me.
Katie

Katie, I haven’t thought of that song in FOREVER… thanks for the reminder! And I LOVE the style you’re going with here. This series may just inspire my second son’s nursery decor!
Check out Dwell Studio’s Gio crib bedding set! It would go perfect with that! I love that you remember that song too!
This week is already becoming one of my favorites. Love the style, and love that song! “elephants and kangaroosies, roosies!”
Last week was also wonderful. Not sure if I ever actually commented that, but checking oohmoon.com on my phone during a late-night nursing session always makes me smile.
I am so glad! Thanks for checking in
I’m loving the style of this series. The tools in yesterday’s and the animals today. Love it!
Love this one! We weren’t religious growing up, but I always loved the story of Noah. One of my favorite songs is actually a poem written by Shel Silverstein called The Unicorn. It’s about how the unicorns didn’t believe Noah and decided to play in rain instead of getting on the ark…and that’s why there are no unicorns today.
Oh, I love this one! The peacocks are totally my favorite.
I love the eyelashes to indicate which ones are the females!
This is an adorable series! If I were to have another baby, I’d probably use these as wall hangings in the room.
