Hmmm…. It might be hard to tell, but I’m not a poet! Neither much of a writer… my creativity is visual, not so much verbal. This used to really bother me, but I guess we can’t all have it all. I’ll be content with what the Lord has given me and work to continually improve upon it.

ANYWAYS… Here they all are in one location. It’s nice for me to see them this way. There is something about seeing all your work in one spot. I remember when I was a college student and had my big senior art show at the museum. You don’t truly see yourself in your art until you see it all together. It’s such a cool experience. Doing these compilation pieces is somewhat of an exhibit for me as well. Just like for an art show you take time to design it and pull it all tangibly together in a way that displays the work best and gives your audience the best way to experience it, these compilation pieces are like a small digital version of this for me. I ask myself which is the best way to display them? How do I pull the consistent thread between them together? Which details do I need to change or alter? What stays the same? What additions need to be made? And so on….

This series lends itself so beautifully to a compilation piece. While all my illustrations are created with a “whole” in mind, the final “destination”, if you will, is usually not as natural to reach.

I so hope you have enjoyed this journey over the last week. I am nearly busting at the seems to start the next one tomorrow. I’m not sure how I’ll handle it technically yet, but I’m excited for the challenge.

Hope your weekend was delightful. Take care till next time.

  • I am loving all of the creative illustrations you are coming up with (this series is my favorite so far)!!! I am planning to make them into postcards to send to my nieces (I send them a little card/note each week and these are perfect to use-they’re going to get a kick out of the illustrations)! Thank-you so much for being so generous and sharing your talent with us. :-)

Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us! I’m not sure what I’m going to do with them yet, maybe an advent calendar for next year or a real calendar for my mom, she would get a kick of them. I can’t wait to see what you have for this week! Thanks again!
